We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of a Peter Rabbit statue for this year’s St Oswald's Hospice trail event in Newcastle. This special event, known as Peter Rabbit on Tyne, brings together the community to celebrate creativity, support a vital cause, and enjoy a unique outdoor art experience. We are proud not only to help place the statues around the city but also to sponsor one ourselves. We can’t wait to share the design we chose and explain why this event means so much to us.

What Is the Peter Rabbit on Tyne Trail?

Peter Rabbit on Tyne is a public art trail featuring a collection of Peter Rabbit statues displayed across Newcastle. Each statue is uniquely designed by local artists, businesses, and community groups. The trail encourages people to explore the city, discover the statues, and learn more about St Oswald's Hospice, which provides care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses.

The event combines art, community spirit, and charity fundraising. Visitors can follow the trail map, visit each statue, and enjoy the creativity on display. It’s a family-friendly activity that brings joy to all ages while raising awareness and funds for an important cause.

Why We Chose to Sponsor a Peter Rabbit Statue

Supporting St Oswald's Hospice is close to our hearts. The hospice offers compassionate care to patients and their families during difficult times. By sponsoring a statue, we wanted to contribute in a meaningful way that also connects with the community.

Sponsoring a statue allows us to:

  • Show our commitment to local causes and community well-being.

  • Engage creatively by selecting a design that reflects our values and spirit.

  • Encourage people to explore Newcastle and support the hospice through the trail.

We believe that art has the power to bring people together and inspire positive change. This sponsorship is a way to celebrate that belief while helping a charity that makes a real difference.

The Design We Picked Out

We worked closely with a talented local artist to create a Peter Rabbit statue that stands out and captures the imagination. The design features Peter Rabbit in a playful pose, surrounded by elements inspired by Newcastle’s culture and natural beauty.

Some highlights of the design include:

  • A vibrant color palette that reflects the energy of the city.

  • Details that pay homage to Newcastle’s landmarks and heritage.

  • A whimsical style that appeals to children and adults alike.

We are excited to reveal the statue soon and see how it fits into the trail alongside other creative pieces.

How the Trail Benefits St Oswald's Hospice

The Peter Rabbit on Tyne trail raises funds through sponsorships, donations, and events connected to the statues. These funds support the hospice’s services, including:

  • Specialist nursing care for patients.

  • Emotional and practical support for families.

  • Community outreach and education programs.

By participating in or supporting the trail, people help ensure that St Oswald's Hospice can continue providing high-quality care to those who need it most.

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to enjoy and support the Peter Rabbit on Tyne trail:

  • Visit the trail: Follow the map, find the statues, and enjoy a day out in Newcastle.

  • Share your experience: Post photos and stories to encourage others to join.

  • Donate: Contribute directly to St Oswald's Hospice to support their work.

  • Attend events: Look out for special activities and fundraisers linked to the trail.

Whether you are a local resident or visiting Newcastle, the trail offers a fun and meaningful way to connect with the community and support a great cause.

Looking Forward to the Event

We are over the moon to be part of this year’s Peter Rabbit on Tyne trail. Sponsoring a statue and helping place others around Newcastle gives us a chance to contribute creatively and socially. We hope the trail brings smiles, sparks curiosity, and raises much-needed funds for St Oswald's Hospice.

Keep an eye out for updates on the statue’s unveiling and the trail’s launch. We can’t wait to share this journey with you and see how the community embraces this wonderful event.
