This special day has been designed to introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to the world of construction. For many, operating a construction machine is a once-in-a-lifetime experience — but for us, it’s an everyday part of life, and today we’re opening it up for you to enjoy!

✅ Fun Stalls & Activities

Face Painting – Free!
MP Plant Training Stall – Selling kids’ hi-vis and hard hats so they can take photos in the machines.
First Aid Stall – Learn basic first aid and children’s first aid tips.
Dr Batty’s Pet Stall – Meet some furry friends!
Redcar Cleveland College Stall – Find out about funded courses and career opportunities in construction.

☕ The Main Event – Macmillan Coffee Morning

The heart of the day is our Macmillan Coffee Morning. Every penny raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

🚜 Construction Games – Try the Machines!

Supervised by our trainers (safety first!), with a 5-minute max per turn. Under 15s must be accompanied by an adult.

Hook a Duck – Use a wheeled excavator (“duck”) to hook a duck out of a water-filled dumper.
Load the Trailer – Operate a telehandler to drop a football into a tyre on our trailer.
Football Challenge – Use a mini digger to lift footballs off cones and place them into tyres of different sizes.
Sandpit Game – Operate a mini digger to dig for orange rocks hidden in the sandpit.

Explore our parked machines with info boards explaining their roles in the industry.
Fun kids’ activities: colouring books, writing games, and photo opportunities.
Presentations on construction sectors, job roles, and how the industry is moving towards a greener, more sustainable future.
